When you hear that a movie based on Zombies Ate My Neighbors is being made, you're thinking one of two things. Either, "wow, bring it on!", or "what's Zombies Ate My Neighbors???". Based off of the 1993 game of the same name for SNES and Sega Genesis, Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a humorous top-down zombie survival game. Developed by LucasArts, players take the role of Zeke or Julie, escaping from and fighting zombies in suburbia.

Many gamers, including myself, have very fond memories of playing this game, and word has it that a script has been written and they are looking to take it to the big screen:

"The film has a screenplay written by John Darko and is currently looking for financiers, but I was tipped that things are going well and it's coming together."

It sounds like things still pretty far from becoming reality, as this is currently being done as an independent effort, but this would fit in well with Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead. I'm hoping we'll have some new news to report on this film very soon.
