After Mike White recently withdrew from the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride And Prejudice and Zombies, Lionsgate has been scrambling to find a new director. The new front runner for the job is Craig Gillespie, who is currently wrapping up his remake of Fright Night. While I am familiar with some of Gillespie's work (Mr. Woodcock, United States of Tara), it is hard to know whether or not he's the right man for the job, because the public and press have not seen the new Fright Night remake yet.

This film has struggled to get off the ground, with both Mike White and David O. Russell leaving after previously being set to direct. I understand that this production has a certain momentum and that Lionsgate wants a director locked in a soon as possible, but let's hope they make the right choice.
