Around the holidays, Pennywise poked his head out of a sewer pipe in the above image, but now it's time to get new looks at The Losers' Club, the group of young outcasts who stand up to the ancient evil in the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King's IT.
Revealed by IT producer Barbara Muschietti on Instagram, the behind-the-scenes photos from the set of IT feature Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Richie Tozier, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley Uris, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon.
IT is planned as a two-movie adaptation, with the first film following the Losers’ Club as kids facing evil incarnate in the small town of Derry in the 1980s, with the second movie expected to focus on the Losers’ Club as adults once again tasked with defeating the malevolent entity that haunts their hometown… and their souls.
Andrés Muschietti (Mama) directs IT from a screenplay he wrote with Gary Doberman. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg are on board as producers, with Jon Silk executive producing the project.
IT is scheduled for a September 8th, 2017 release from Warner Bros. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates, and check out the behind-the-scenes Instagram photos below.
