New Hellraiser a Reboot?

With Drive Angry 3D wrapped up, director Patrick Lussier will be focusing all of his attention on the upcoming reboot of Hellraiser. While talking with Shock Till You Drop, Lussier mentioned a number of items that should make fans of Hellraiser happy:

"We had the contracts changed to specifically say we were delivering an R-rated film. The treatment we turned in, it was like, if you're expecting a happy ending, stop reading now."

He also goes on to discuss the fact that the film will not be a direct remake of the original, but will still focus on the story of the box. The original Hellraiser is one of my favorite horror films, but I am more interested now that I know it is more of a reboot or sequel than a remake.
