We're less than two months away from the arrival of Ari Aster's second feature-length film after he shocked audiences with Hereditary and we have a brand new poster to share with Daily Dead readers. Specific plot details for Midsommar have been kept under wraps, but previously released teaser trailer (see below) follows a group of friends to a rural community to take part in a festival that only happens every 90 years. Although the movie features vibrant summery colors (with Aster re-teaming with Hereditary cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski), there are seemingly sinister intentions lurking just beneath the surface.
Written and directed by Aster, Midsommar will be released on July 3rd and stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on the anticipated film from the writer and director of Hereditary.
