Alien 3: The Unproduced Screenplay by William Gibson: "William Gibson’s never-before-adapted screenplay for the direct sequel to Aliens, revealing the fates of Ripley, Newt, the synthetic Bishop, and Corporal Hicks. When the Colonial Marines vessel Sulaco docks with space station and military installation Anchorpoint, a new form of Xenomorph appears.
The Sulaco—on its return journey from LV-426—enters a sector controlled by the “Union of Progressive Peoples,” a nation-state engaged in an ongoing cold war and arms race. U.P.P. personnel board the Sulaco and find hypersleep tubes with Ripley, Newt, and an injured Hicks. A Facehugger attacks the lead commando, and the others narrowly escape, taking what remains of Bishop with them.
The Sulaco continues to Anchorpoint, a space station and military installation the size of a small moon, where it falls under control of the military’s Weapons Division. Boarding the Sulaco, a team of Colonial Marines and scientists is assaulted by a pair of Xenomorph drones. In the fight Ripley's cryotube is badly damaged. It’s taken aboard Anchorpoint, where Ripley is kept comatose. Newt and an injured Corporal Hicks are awakened, and Newt is sent to Gateway Station on the way to Earth. The U.P.P. sends Bishop to Anchorpoint, where Hicks begins to hear rumors of experimentation—the cloning and genetic modification of Xenomorphs."
Written by Hugo Award winner Pat Cadigan, Titan will release this novel on September 7th!

PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR FILM “FEAR” SET AS FIRST FEATURE RELEASE ON VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND 2022: "Fresh off the heels of financing, producing, marketing and distributing their hit comedy sequel The House Next Door: MEET THE BLACKS 2, filmmakers Deon Taylor and Roxanne Avent Taylor announced today the expansion of their 15-year-old HIDDEN EMPIRE FILM GROUP company portfolio by launching HIDDEN EMPIRE RELEASING. The distributor will serve as a much-needed home for films that are increasingly being squeezed out of the “Big Studios’” slate line-ups and offer full distribution, managed rights sales, and marketing advisory services for content, including theatrical, streaming, VOD, and Pay TV windows. HEFG's newly hired COO, Quincy Newell, is prepping the media company for expansion in order to serve quality content to what they see is a vast underserved audience.
“Taking a hard look at the new landscape even as it continues to shift, it is clear that content is increasingly becoming thought of and treated as a commodity, and that is not part of our strategy,” says producer Roxanne Avent Taylor, Co-CEO of Hidden Empire Film Group.
“From the start, we began a two-way conversation with our audience and over time an army of voices for many disenfranchised formed and, in many cases, joined together in force with us,” adds Director and Hidden Empire’s Co-CEO Deon Taylor, whose own film, Fatale, was caught in the pandemic pipeline. “Listening to the audience when Fatale was released, at a time when it was unclear if the theatrical business would even survive, gave us new insight to their desires, needs and behavior.”
Created to adapt to the “New Hollywood”, Hidden Empire Releasing’s strategy lives in the firm belief that no two films are alike, so no cookie cutter release plan will exist. The plan is to deliver multi-genre content “to underserved audiences speaking directly to them as a partner,” says Avent Taylor. “Films are a unifying cultural beacon that for over 100 years have brought many audiences, that didn’t look like each other, together through story or spectacle. We are blessed that we now get to be a home where filmmakers, through their own creative vision and storytelling, bring us all together in my favorite place, the movie theater, but also in all those new tricked out home-theaters” adds the Director.
First up for Hidden Empire Releasing is director Taylor’s own Psychological Horror Film Fear, set for wide release on Valentine’s Day Weekend, 2022. While details of the plot are being kept under wraps, Fear producer and former Chief Marketing Officer/Head of Global Distribution for Lionsgate, Damon Wolf, who first worked with the Taylors on Sony/Screen Gems, The Intruder as well as last December’s Lionsgate release, Fatale, said, “There is no question our emotions are the scariest thing of all, with the emotion of fear being the most horrific and debilitating. Deon has a talent for taking something simple, like buying a house or a romantic tryst, and turning it into a freak show. With Fear, he zeros in on that one thing we are most afraid of and turns it into a frightening, mind-bending reality. The perfect date to release this is Valentine’s Day Weekend, of course.”
Wolf will oversee the theatrical marketing for the film’s release. Domestic ancillary rights sales for the film will be handled by former Disney SVP Digital Distribution and President, North American Sales for Lionsgate, Jared Goetz, who added: “When horror holds such a unique concept like it does with Fear, it becomes something bigger and can spark that cultural conversation, because it doesn’t matter who you are or where you live, we all can relate to fear.” Overseeing theatrical distribution will be Dylan Marchetti from Variance Films.
Upcoming Hidden Empire Film projects include the John Lewis biopic FREEDOM RIDE; the psychological thriller SILENT JOHN to be directed by Aisha Tyler; the football centered action heist film FREE AGENTS starring 50 Cent; a re-imagined reboot of MGM’s classic Blaxploitation horror film BLACULA; and the remake of CJ Entertainment’s GRAVE HILL."
