GRINDHOUSE RELEASING TO THEATRICALLY DISTRIBUTE INDEPENDENT-INTERNATIONAL PICTURES LIBRARY: "Grindhouse Releasing has picked up the torch of drive-in movie mogul Samuel M. Sherman to theatrically distribute the library of Independent-International Pictures.
Grindhouse negotiated the deal with Sherman through David Sehring of Drive In-Sanity. Grindhouse was gearing up to announce the partnership when the legendary exploitation-film showman died on September 29, just days after signing the contract.
"Sam Sherman was one of the all-time great exploitation film producers and distributors," said Grindhouse Releasing owner Bob Murawski. "I always dreamed of working with him and am honored we were his last movie deal."
Sherman produced DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN, SATAN'S SADISTS, BRAIN OF BLOOD, and many other low-budget drive-in wonders with his business partner, director Al Adamson.
Independent-International also brought many European genre films to the U.S., including the Italian giallo classic ALL THE COLORS OF THE DARK (1972), starring Edwige Fenech and directed by Sergio Martino, the horrific German krimi CREATURE WITH THE BLUE HAND (1967), starring Klaus Kinski, and FRANKENSTEIN'S BLOODY TERROR (1971), the 3-D monster mash that introduced Spanish horror star Paul Naschy.
FRANKENSTEIN'S BLOODY TERROR is available now for theaters in both 3-D and 2-D versions from Grindhouse Releasing. Grindhouse plans to present a drive-in tribute to Sam Sherman in 2026.
Other titles returning to the big screen from Grindhouse include Al Adamson's brutal SATAN'S SADISTS, starring Russ Tamblyn, and MIDNIGHT, the 1981 backwoods cult horror from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD co-author John Russo.
Grindhouse Releasing's head of theatrical distribution David Szulkin will handle bookings of the Independent-International library.

Untouchables Entertainment Debuts First Look at Winnie-the-Pooh in New Teaser THE DARK DOMAIN: MICKEY-VS-WINNIE: "Untouchables Entertainment is excited to unveil the latest trailer for Glenn Douglas Packard's highly anticipated “versus” horror film, The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie. The teaser features the first look at Dark Winnie, based on A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh character, with rising star Givanni Gotay stepping into the role.
Genre star Fayna Sanchez (Abraham's Boys, House of Ashes) will appear as Clare, on a mission to protect her friends from the horrors of their past and the danger in their present.
This chilling new addition to the emerging public domain horror sub-genre pits two beloved childhood icons against each other in a monstrous battle for survival. The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie marks the first public domain crossover film. The twisted fairytale, set in the Hell Forest, is expected to premiere in 2026.
In The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie, the nostalgic public domain figures of Steamboat Willie’s Mickey and A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh are reimagined into bloodthirsty killing machines, Dark Mickey (Daniel Wilkinson, Pitchfork) and Dark Winnie (Gotay). These twisted icons wreak havoc in an unrelenting horror showdown, challenging everything fans thought they knew about these childhood figures.
Glenn Douglas Packard, an Emmy nominated choreographer turned filmmaker (Pitchfork, E!'s Men of the Strip), is excited to unleash his new cinematic universe, The Dark Domain, on the public. "As a director, I was committed to creating the most authentic and intense atmosphere possible. We even brought in a body-piercing suspension artist. It was an intense experience for the cast, a few even vomited. When it was all said and done, we knew we’d done more than just pay homage to public domain horror, we elevated it. We gave horror fans exactly what they’ve been craving from this sub-genre. It’s a first-of-its-kind crossover showdown between two childhood icons, the gore is real, the terror is relentless, and the nostalgia is twisted beyond recognition.”
Packard and Phillips worked together to craft their interpretations of the characters, with Dark Winnie envisioned as “Jason Voorhees levels up into the Predator”, while Dark Mickey embodies a mix of “Pennywise meets Freddy Krueger.”
A century ago, two convicts disappeared into Hell Forest, a place feared for its dark legends and whispers of a malevolent curse. Their mysterious vanishing marked the beginning of tales about a sinister force lurking within the forest, feeding on those who dared to enter.
In the present day, a group of childhood friends, each haunted by their own unresolved traumas and fears, feels an inexplicable pull to return to the reform school they once attended. Nestled in the center of the forest's dark heart, the abandoned hell-camp stands as a decaying monument to their lost innocence. Its walls echoing with secrets and forgotten horrors. Each of them is drawn by a force they cannot understand, as if the forest itself is calling them to confront the darkness of their anxieties, regrets, and unhealed wounds.
The forest takes shape in the grotesque forms of twisted versions of two beloved childhood figures: Dark Mickey and Dark Winnie. These monstrous entities, born from the darkest corners of the group's psyche, embody their worst fears and regrets—Dark Mickey, a sinister manipulator and bloodthirsty force of chaos, and Dark Winnie, a feral predator who thrives on destruction.
As the two clash in a violent, unrelenting battle, their fight becomes more than just a physical confrontation. These twisted incarnations, born from the group's own inner demons, force them to face not only the nightmarish creatures but also the darkness within themselves."

Bugonia Available to Watch at Home Starting Tomorrow: "Hailed by critics and audiences alike, Focus Features’ BUGONIA arrives exclusively on digital platforms to buy or rent November 25, 2025, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 23, 2025, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Five-time Oscar-nominee Yorgos Lanthimos masterfully directs his most compelling film yet with a satirical, thrilling edge, and out-of-this world plot twists. Hailed by critics as a “master provocateur,” (Slant Magazine), Lanthimos draws audiences into a paranoia and leaves them questioning what really happens behind the curtains of power. Suspense, social relevancy, and dark comedic chemistry between opposing characters Emma Stone (Poor Things, The Favourite) and Jesse Plemons (Killers of the Flower Moon, The Power of the Dog) fuel this genre-defying thriller, with every interaction hiding a secret and trust being the most dangerous currency.
A wildly entertaining psychological thriller, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO they believe is an alien out to destroy humanity. What begins as a paranoid act spirals into a battle of delusions and control—one as viscerally unpredictable as it is provocative.
BUGONIA also features mesmerizing performances by Stavros Halkias (Let’s Start a Cult, “Tires”), Aidan Delbis, Marc T. Lewis, Vanessa Eng, and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, Batman & Robin). The mind-bending thriller of the year is cleverly co-produced by three-time Oscar-nominated producer Ed Guiney (Room, The Favourite), Emma Stone, and Ari Aster (Midsommar, Hereditary). Written by Will Tracy (“Succession,” The Menu) and scored by Jerskin Fendrix (Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness) with a haunting soundtrack, the film questions the nature of truth itself, bridging social commentary and mainstream thriller.
