THE XENOMORPHS CONQUER ALL IN ALIEN: KING KILLER!: "ALIEN: KING KILLER, a new chapter in Marvel’s acclaimed Alien comic book storytelling begins this April, and it promises to deliver the darkest era of the Alien universe yet. The five-issue limited series by writer Saladin Ahmed (Wolverine) and artist Carlos Nieto (Ultimate Black Panther) will take place on a planet that’s already succumbed to Xenomorphs, a horrifying victory that pushes humanity to its limits and explores the ultimate cost of survival. Fans will also have a chance to dive deeper into the saga on Comics Giveaway Day™ on May 2 with a special prelude story by Ahmed and artist Emilio Laiso in ALIEN, PREDATOR & PLANET OF THE APES #1 CGD 2026.

When humanity has already lost the war against the Xenomorphs, what remains? Set on a planet overrun by the savage alien species, the dregs of humanity cling to the protection of the mysterious siblings known as the Three Kings. But these warlords have a fourth sibling who is out for revenge– and the humans’ remaining protectors are harboring secrets deadlier than the aliens outside their gates.

"I'm old enough to remember Aliens landing at the theaters after having watched Alien on Betamax, so I've been ready to tell stories in this universe for a good long while now,” Ahmed shared. “KING KILLER is more of an action story than pure horror, but it is centrally about the most fascinating question in the franchise: What makes a monster? I'm super excited for readers to join us for this weird, pulse pounding Alien story!"

BLUMHOUSE-ATOMIC MONSTER NAMES SAM ZIMMERMAN TO OVERSEE EMERGING FILMMAKERS FEATURE FILM SLATE: "Blumhouse-Atomic Monster announced today that Sam Zimmerman has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Development and Acquisitions, to oversee a focused slate of feature films from emerging filmmakers. Zimmerman will report to Abhijay Prakash, President of Blumhouse, and Michael Clear, President of Atomic Monster.

Zimmerman will remain based in New York City and work across Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, partnering closely with filmmakers at the earliest stages of their careers. The role formalizes and expands the companies’  commitment to identifying distinct voices in genre storytelling and supporting films across a range of budgets, including projects made for under $5M. He will work closely with the company’s recently announced Divide/Conquer overall deal as well as other Blumhouse-Atomic Monster partners to build upon its traditional area of strength.

As high-quality genre storytelling continues to grow globally, the company sees an opportunity to deepen its engagement with filmmakers, ensuring that new voices have a pathway into the Blumhouse-Atomic Monster creative teams. Zimmerman’s work will span development through production, with an emphasis on filmmaker relationships, creative incubation, and long-term collaboration across the Blumhouse-Atomic Monster slate.

Both before and after the merger, the companies have consistently championed early work from boundary-pushing filmmakers such as Damien Chazelle (Whiplash), Rob Savage (Dashcam), Danny Goldhaber (Cam), Joel Edgerton (The Gift), Beth de Araujo (Soft & Quiet), B.J. Novak (Vengeance), and Patrick Brice (Creep and its sequels), along with last year’s breakout hit The Monkey from Oz Perkins. Blumhouse this year will partner with Focus Features on Curry Barker's breakout debut Obsession, slated to premiere May 15, and Atomic Monster’s upcoming slate also includes Backrooms, the Kane Parsons-directed horror film arriving this year via A24.

“Sam has exceptional taste, deep relationships in the genre community, and a track record of championing filmmakers with singular visions,” said Clear. “This initiative will serve to reinforce the company’s core values while also allowing us to engage with filmmakers earlier, support them meaningfully, and foster a community of emerging voices.”

“These are companies that have always understood that great genre films start with filmmakers who are given trust and creative space,’ said Zimmerman. “Blumhouse and Atomic Monster have been doing this work for years. I’m excited to build on that foundation and support filmmakers working at a scale that encourages bold ideas and inventive, frightening storytelling.”

Prior to joining Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Zimmerman served as Senior Vice President, Programming & Acquisitions at Shudder, AMC Networks’ horror streaming platform. There he grew the platform over the course of a decade and oversaw programming, development and acquisitions across film, series, narrative and nonfiction. He worked on such notable contemporary works of horror as Revenge (Coralie Fargeat, 2018), Oddity (Damien McCarthy, 2024), the V/H/S film series, and the Peabody Award-winning La Llorona (Jayro Bustamante, 2020). Zimmerman began his career at Fangoria Magazine, where he spent six years editing the magazine and website. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema Studies from SUNY Purchase. A New York City native, Zimmerman hails from The Bronx and is married with two children."

RETURN TO SILENT HILL Original Soundtrack: "The soundtrack was created by longtime SILENT HILL composer Akira Yamaoka, who is also an Executive Producer for the film. Yamaoka’s musical signature has been an integral part of the series since the first note of the original video game.

Fans of SILENT HILL 2 will recognize favorite melodies in standout tracks like “Chasing Laura” and “Moth Mary”.

For Akira Yamaoka, the most important principle in scoring SILENT HILL, whether film or video game, is: “Do not explain fear.”

“In many films, music clearly tells the audience: this is sad, this is scary, this is the moment to feel uplifted. But in the world of SILENT HILL, the moment you do that, fear and sadness collapse the instant they are explained.

“I took a different approach with RETURN TO SILENT HILL: not completing emotions, not resolving things—even at the climax—and keeping a slight distance, rather than having the music ‘embrace’ the scene.

“As a result, the audience can no longer be sure whether they are listening to music or hearing sounds that exist inside the world itself. For longtime SILENT HILL fans, this may feel unsettling—and, at the same time, strangely familiar.

“What flows through this story is not clear-cut anger or fear, but something far more ambiguous—unspoken regret, lingering attachment, and a mind that has not yet grasped that there is no way back. I was constantly thinking about how such a state could be made to exist as sound.

“The music for this film does not aim for listeners to remember a striking phrase. Rather, it seeks to leave behind a state where, after the film has ended, only an emotion remains—one that cannot be easily put into words.”

The album is now streaming and downloadable on major music services including Spotify, YouTube, and Bandcamp: http://lnk.to/return-to-silent-hill-ost
