"You command 4 legendary characters pulled from across myth, history, and legend. So does your opponent. You’ll fight battle after battle — and every battle is a bet on your mission. Win enough, and the story ends your way."

The OverPower trading card game, originally launched in 1996, is back! And they've teamed up with Skybound for a full expansion release where players will be able to play and integrate characters from the Invincible and The Walking Dead universes: "With more than 400 cards in the set and 36 brand new playable characters, OverPower Legacy and Modern formats are set for a shake up."

We're excited to share with Daily Dead readers an exclusive look at some of the cards that will be available in this new expansion! The cards we've shared below feature artwork from Rafael T. Pimentel, Charlie Adlard, Dennis Menheere, and Daniel Horn da Rosa.

About OverPower: "OverPower is a collectible card game (CCG) that was first introduced in 1995 by Fleer Corporation, initially featuring characters from Marvel Comics. Later expansions included characters from DC Comics and Image Comics. The game involves players forming teams of four superheroes or villains and competing against each other in a series of battles. The objective is to either knock out all of the opposing team’s characters or complete all of your mission cards."

About the New Release: "LRG is preparing for a major new chapter in the Modern OverPower TCG with the upcoming Skybound release arriving August. Led by the high-impact action of Invincible and the survival-driven world of The Walking Dead, the release also includes character from the critically acclaimed series’ Birthright and Excellence.  The Skybound release continues to deliver what OverPower is known for, a player experience of feeling like YOU are controlling your favorite characters in a super hero battle or helping them complete their unique mission.

This release is built to shake up Modern OverPower with new characters, new strategic interactions, and expanded deck-building options, adding 36 playable characters to the game. With Invincible and The Walking Dead players will be able to create their dream teams in both Legacy and Modern play formats. Skybound Overpower delivers exciting and impactful additions for both casual and competitive play."

The new OverPower expansion is expected to be available in local game stores, Gamestop, and Best Buy on August 28th. To learn more, visit: https://overpowercardgame.com/
