Image Entertainment is bringing Stuart Gordon's cult classic Re-Animator to Blu-ray this September. Although Anchor Bay had previously released this film on DVD, Image Entertainment acquired a number of horror titles from Anchor Bay, including Re-Animator. The film will be released on Blu-ray and re-released to DVD on September 4th.
It doesn't look like new bonus features will be produced, but the DVD and Blu-ray will contain previously included bonus features: "DVD and BD packed with bonus features (existing from earlier DVD releases), including audio commentaries from the film's director, producer and cast, interviews, extended scenes, galleries, and more!"
The Blu-ray will retail for $17.97, but it is considerably less at Amazon, who is already taking pre-orders for $12.58. Here's a look at the official cover art:
