Get ready for dueling Sleepy Hollow TV projects. Fox already announced that they were moving ahead with a modern-day Sleepy Hollow pitch from Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Len Wisemen. Now, it is being reported that The CW is moving forward with their own project.

Warner Bros TV has picked up a Sleepy Hollow pitch, with plans to air it on The CW. It is also described as a contemporary take on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, although we have no details on how this story will differ from the Fox project.

However, it is described as a project that will be "boundary-pushing horror" for television. After the success of The Walking Dead and American Horror Story, a number of networks have been hoping to replicate their success with genre television.

Patrick Macmanus (Missing) and Grant Scharbo (Missing/The Gates) are co-writing the project and we'll provide more details as soon as they are released. To learn more about Fox's Sleepy Hollow project, visit: http://dailydead.com/sleepy-hollow-tv-series-in-development/
