Eli Roth wrapped up filming on The Green Inferno late last year and the first official photo has been released. This will be the first feature film for Roth since 2007′s Hostel: Part II and we’re interested to see what he has in store for us.

The Green Inferno was written by Eli Roth and Guillermo Amoedo, and is a cannibal story involving a stranded group of American students in the Amazon: “A group of student activists from New York City travel to the Amazon to protect a dying tribe, but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they saved.

The movie stars Daryl Sabara (Spy Kids), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X), Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Aaron Burns, Magda Apanowicz (Caprica), and Sky Ferreira.

There are no release details yet, but we expect to see the movie released later this year.

Eli Roth went off to shoot The Green Inferno in a remove village off of the Amazon river and you can read more about his experience at:  http://dailydead.com/eli-roth-talks-the-green-inferno/
