John Carpenter recently revealed that he was working with Jamie Lee Curtis on new commentary for Halloween and it has been officially confirmed that a 35th anniversary release is in the works. Anchor Bay sent us word that they are currently working with the Halloween team on a new release.

Details are still being worked out, so Anchor Bay is not ready to announce anything other than the fact that a release is in the works and John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis are involved. We're expecting a Blu-ray/DVD release around October and will let readers know when new details become available.

An official 35th Anniversary Halloween convention is also happening this year. The event will take place on November 15-17 in Pasadena, California and details will be announced soon at: www.35yearsofterror.com
