The first bit of casting news has been released for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw movie and is sure to make fans happy. According to Dread Central, Bill Moseley has been cast in the film as a character named "Drayton", a name which should be familiar if you love the first two films. There is no word yet on if Moseley's character is related to the character from the previous films, but hopefully we'll have more information soon.
In general, official details have been pretty slim. We're not even sure what he official title is, as it is being referred to by various sources as Leatherface 3D and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.
What we do know is that John Luessenhop has been brought on as the director and filming is expected later this year. This movie is being made with sequels in mind, as the rights were acquired with the option to make up to six films. We also know that this will be a direct sequel to the 1974 Tobe Hooper film and not the Platinum Dunes remake. We'll continue to keep you updated and post new information on this film as it is released.
