Almost Human Acquired by IFC

Following Almost Human's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month, it's been announced that IFC has acquired the movie. According to THR, rights were secured for North American distribution and the movie will be released under the IFC Midnight label.

If this follows the release strategy of recent IFC Midnight titles, Almost Human should get a limited theatrical run first, followed by VOD, and then Blu-ray/DVD. Specific release dates have not yet been announced, but we'll update this story when more details become available.

Almost Human was written and directed by Joe Begos, and stars Graham Skipper, Vanessa Leigh, and Josh Ethier. If you didn't have a chance to check out the recently released trailer, we've included it below.

“Mark Fisher disappeared from his home in a brilliant flash of blue light almost two years ago. His friend Seth Hampton was the last to see him alive. Now a string of grisly, violent murders leads Seth to believe that Mark is back, and something evil is inside of him.”
