Now that the 50th Anniversary special has aired, everyone is focusing their attention on the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special. Set to air on Christmas day, we know when you can watch it in the US and UK, and we have a second teaser image.

The Christmas special will be the last episode for the current Doctor, played by Matt Smith, and it will be our first good look at the new Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi. Of course, everyone involved in the series has been tight-lipped about what's going to happen, but we do have the official synopsis:

"Clara and The Doctor must go to a quiet backwater planet in order to learn what some strange signals mean for his very last existence."

In the UK, The Time of the Doctor will premiere at 7:30pm on BBC One on December 25th. In the US, BBC America will air the special at 9:00pm. For all other countries, make sure to check your local listings for the specific air time.

Based on the teaser images and trailer, this special looks to be filled with some of the Doctor's biggest adversaries, including the Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, and The Silence. There are also some Easter eggs embedded into both images, so look closely.
