Hannibal Season 2 is making its way to Blu-ray & DVD later this year, courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment, and an official release date has been set. Mark your calendars for September 9th, as that is when the second season will be available as separate Blu-ray and DVD editions. No special features have been announced at this time, but we'll update this story when the full release details come in.

Hannibal Season 2 premiered on February 28th and contained 13 episodes, with the first episodes focusing on Will Graham's fight to prove his innocence from an asylum for the criminally insane:

"From creator Bryan Fuller, “Hannibal” stars Mads Mikkelsen as brilliant psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lector, who is working with the FBI and gifted criminal profiler Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, to look into the mind of serial killers. Based on Thomas Harris’ best-selling novels, this series is the prequel to the story that began with the feature films “Red Dragon” and “Silence of the Lambs.”

The series also stars Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit. Caroline Dhavernas and Hettienne Park also co-star.”
