If you missed out on earlier news, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are taking another stab at an American version of GodzillaMonsters director Gareth Edwards has already signed on to direct, but we haven't heard too much about the project lately.

Now we know that the project is still moving forward, as Deadline has learned that David Goyer is going to be working on the Godzilla screenplay. Goyer is known for his work on the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, the Blade Trilogy, and dozens of other projects.
