Given the success of A Quiet Place, it's no surprise that Paramount is interested in moving forward on a sequel, but now an official release date of May 15th, 2020 has been announced (via Exhibitor Relations). With a release date that far out, it sounds like Paramount isn't interested in rushing things and is giving Platinum Dunes and John Krasinski plenty of time get the story right. No word on whether or not John Krasinski will step behind the director's chair again for the sequel and if cast members from the first film will return, but we'll obviously update Daily Dead readers as more details become available.

With a production budget of $17 million, A Quiet Place earned $332 million at the box office worldwide. A Quiet Place was directed and co-written by John Krasinski, who also co-stars alongside Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds. You can check out the trailer below, and the movie is now available on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD.
