Since its inaugural season aired in 2011, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story has featured a new story each season, but what if every episode focused on an entirely new story? That will be the case in Murphy's American Horror Stories, an American Horror Story spinoff that is officially moving forward at FX, according to Deadline and Variety.

Deadline reveals that American Horror Stories is "a weekly hourlong anthology series that will feature a different horror story in each contained episode."

The spinoff is part of FX's 2021 programming, which also includes the upcoming season of American Horror Story, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next season of American Horror Story will be the show's tenth, and it's already been renewed through 13 seasons.

The official title for American Horror Stories was also shared on FX Networks' official Instagram page (see below). Further details on the spinoff have yet to be revealed, but we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on future announcements.
