Classic monster movies fans, get those wallets ready, because Tuesday has plenty of awesomeness on tap for you that you’re not going to want to miss out on. Universal Studios Home Entertainment has an abundance of titles arriving on August 28th, led by their brand new Universal Classic Monsters: Complete 30-Film Collection, as well as the Complete Legacy Collections for both the original The Creature From the Black Lagoon and The Invisible Man film series.

As if that wasn’t enough, Universal is also reissuing a bunch of other titles, including four different Child’s Play sequels (Childs Play 2, Child’s Play 3, Bride of Chucky, and the criminally under-loved Seed of Chucky), three Psycho follow-ups (Psycho II, Psycho III, and Psycho IV: The Beginning), and the latest from Leigh Whannell, Upgrade, featuring Logan Marshall-Green doing all sorts of badass things to a bunch of bad guys.

Scream Factory has given the cult classic Brainscan the HD treatment this week, MVD is shining the spotlight on Bram Stoker’s Shadowbuilder with their Blu/DVD combo pack, and Vinegar Syndrome is resurrecting Dear Dead Delilah to boot. Severin Films is showing some love to The Horror of Party Beach and the third season of Lucifer comes home Tuesday as well.

Creature From the Black Lagoon: Complete Legacy Collection (Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Blu-ray & DVD)

The original Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of the silver screen's most unforgettable characters and, along with the other Universal Classic Monsters, defined the Hollywood horror genre. The Creature from the Black Lagoon: Complete Legacy Collection includes all 3 films from the original legacy including the gripping classic and the sequels that followed. These landmark motion pictures perfectly blended Universal's classic monster heritage with the science fiction explosion of the 1950s and continue to inspire remakes and adaptations that strengthen the legend of the Creature from the Black Lagoon to this day.

Dear Dead Delilah (Vinegar Syndrome, Blu/DVD Combo)

Back in 1943, Luddy viciously murdered her mother with an axe. 30 years later and freshly released from the state mental hospital, deemed 'cured' of her violent impulses, Luddy's luck seems to be turning around, thanks to a chance encounter with the family of Delilah (Agnes Moorehead), the miserly matriarch of a large plantation estate. She quickly finds herself hired as Delilah's housekeeper, but no sooner than her arrival at the cavernous and secluded mansion, grisly murders begin to take place. And worse, each time a new corpse is discovered, Luddy finds she is unable to recall her whereabouts at the time of the bloodshed. Could her old self be coming out, or is someone else trying to set her up for more sinister motives?

A cheerfully grim blending of Southern Gothic stylings, murder mystery structure, and proto-slasher gore, acclaimed horror novelist John Farris' (THE FURY) sole feature film directorial effort, DEAR DEAD DELILAH, was an ubiquitous drive-in crowd pleaser throughout the 70s. Produced by Nashville country legend "Cowboy" Jack Clement, co-starring a who's who of TV actors including Roger Gentry (ALL MY CHILDREN), Will Geer(THE WALTONS), and Dennis Patrick (DALLAS), plus featuring an unforgettably strange performance from one-timer Patricia Carmichael as Luddy, Vinegar Syndrome proudly brings this lurid helping of Southern Fried sleaze to Blu-ray, newly restored from recently discovered 35mm vault elements!

Bonus Features:
1. "Family Secrets: The Making of Dear Dead Delilah" - an interview with director John Farris
2. Promotional still and article gallery
3. Reversible cover artwork
4. English SDH subtitles
