Beetlejuice 2 Moving Forward?

A new report reveals that David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are going to be working on Beetlejuice 2 for Warner Bros. According to Deadline, they have signed a two year production deal with Warner Bros., and Beetlejuice 2 is expected to be their first project.

The good news for fans of the original is that this isn't going to be a remake. The report states that it will definitely be a sequel that will also "reboot it by advancing the storyline of the original". Although no additional details were provided, Seth Grahame-Smith has been working with Tim Burton on Dark Shadows, and Tim Burton is a producer on the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, so we expect Tim Burton to be involved in some capacity.

As for who will be playing Beetlejuice (or Betelgeuse), we wonder if the plan is for Michael Keaton to return. If not, who would you like to see cast in his place?
