Deep Silver has announced that gamers can now sign up for a closed beta of Dead Island: Epidemic, the upcoming zombie online multiplayer battle arena:

"Larkspur, CA, February 6, 2014 - Deep Silver takes the first ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) to the next level: Zombie and MOBA fans can now sign up for the Closed Beta of Dead Island: Epidemic on the freshly re-launched website www.playdie.net and be part of the final stages of development. Dead Island: Epidemic will pit 3 teams of players against each other in a desperate fight for survival. Dead Island: Epidemic is a Free-to-Play PC title that will feature all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience.

Signing up pays off: All newly registered players can directly join the 30,000 Alpha testers and make their first steps in Dead Island: Epidemic even before the official start of the Closed Beta. In addition to that, they will receive exclusive in-game items and rewards as the Closed Beta proceeds which they can keep afterwards.
