Although rumored, most of the attendees in Hall H at Comic-Con were surprised to see an unannounced Godzilla teaser trailer and appearance from director Gareth Edwards. The audience reaction to the teaser rivaled footage shown from Pacific Rim and Man of Steel and we hope to see an official video show up online soon. Until then, take a look at the teaser poster that was just released.

Godzilla will be directed by Monster's Gareth Edwards and Max Borenstein was hired to polish up a script from David Goyer. In terms of the tone of the film, Edwards said that they will not be going with a science fiction story and he's taking a more realistic approach to the material. That was definitely apparent from the teaser and we'll be putting together more details and impressions from today's Legendary/Warner Bros. panel for an upcoming feature.
