We're coming to you live from the Comic-Con show floor, which just recently opened its doors to tens of thousands of genre fans. We're going to be sharing plenty of photos from the show floor and wanted to start with the first look at The Walking Dead Season 5 collector's edition Blu-ray case. We also have some important details for those looking to pick it up.

The Blu-ray / DVD release of The Walking Dead Season 5 will take place on August 25th, but reps from Anchor Bay Entertainment mentioned that the Collector's Edition will not be available at the same time. Look for an official announcement soon, but we were told that November is more likely for the Collector's Edition release.

The photos below are a prototype and may not be the 100% final case that will ship out later this year, but, like previous reveals of the Collector's Edition cases during Comic-Con, this is pretty close to the final product. For those that missed our previous coverage of the Season 5, Blu-ray and DVD announcement, here are details on bonus features:

"BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Five years ago, a man awoke from a coma in a hospital. For sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), what should have been a cause of celebration became the flash point for five years of unceasing horror, unrelenting personal sacrifice...and one of the most popular TV shows ever broadcast. On August 25th, Anchor Bay Entertainment gives home entertainment fans their annual Walker fix with THE WALKING DEAD: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON Blu-ray™ + Digital HD and DVD releases. Each 5-disc set presents all sixteen gripping episodes from the series that has single-handedly redefined the zombie genre. True to the tradition of the previously released seasons, THE WALKING DEAD: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON arrives jam-packed with three hours of insightful and provocative bonus features that give viewers yet another inside glimpse into creating the fallen world of the Walkers and the souls brave – and crazy – enough to attempt survival..."
