Welcome back! It’s day three of Daily Dead’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide and we’ve got some really fun gifts for you today, including a badass “Walking Dead” bath robe and some slasher-fied pint glasses for all you beer lovers out there.

For the next few weeks in December, we’re going to be bringing you some of our very favorite gift ideas perfect for any horror and/or sci-fi fan, so read on to check out a few more killer genre-themed gift choices below and be sure to head back to Daily Dead tomorrow for more awesome stuff in our 2013 Holiday Gift Guide. We’ve found tons of badass gifts, picked with you guys in mind, so you’ll definitely want to keep checking back each day for all sorts of nifty stuff to come.

Movie: For today’s movie pick, I went with one of my favorite indie horror comedies of 2013, 100 Bloody Acres. Directed by Cameron & Colin Cairnes, 100 Bloody Acres is a fun little Australian romp about two brothers (Damon Herriman, Insidious’ Angus Sampson) who resort to some rather drastic measures in order to keep their organic fertilizer business running when they run out of their patented ‘secret ingredient’ that keeps their customers coming back again and again. Essentially, 100 Bloody Acres feels much like Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil’s cousin from Down Under, only with a quirkier sense of humor. Both Herriman and Sampson are absolutely hysterical, making 100 Bloody Acres a lesser-known flick I think a lot of horror comedy fans out there would totally dig on. Buy it HERE.

Apparel: Looking to stay cozy this winter, Walking Dead fans? Then this awesome “Survivor Bathrobe” should be right up your zombie-loving alley. Perfect for guys and gals, undoubtedly this is by far one of the coolest “Walking Dead”-related items I’ve seen in some time. Buy it HERE from ThinkGeek.

One other thing I wanted to mention is that Fright-Rags still has their Black Friday sale running through today, where you can pick up a number of their awesome t-shirts for 35-50% off which you really cannot beat. The sale ends tonight so shop now HERE.

Books: Undoubtedly one of the most controversial films- horror or otherwise- is Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It still is, even after almost four decades since it was first released in theatres, pushing the very boundaries of genre filmmaking. There’s been a ton of speculation on just what went down on that set all those years ago but now the very man behind Leatherface, Gunnar Hansen, has stepped up to shed a little light on just what happened back in 1973 when a rag-tag group of filmmakers and actors headed to Texas to make a slasher film on a shoe-string budget. Recently, Hansen released “Chain Saw Confidential: How We Made the World’s Most Notorious Horror Movie” which is a thoughtful and insightful look at what started off as a reviled piece of cinema which has, over time, become one of the most beloved franchise by horror fans across the world.

In the novel, Hansen engagingly chronicles how an aspiring poet became on the most iconic killers of the horror genre and some of the challenges he and the rest of the cast and crew on Texas Chain Saw Massacre faced while trying to bring Hooper’s vision to life (a vision he initially didn’t even have a script for). A fascinating read for Chainsaw fans or even if you’ve ever been curious about the golden age of indie horror filmmaking. Buy “Chain Saw Confidential” HERE.

Collectibles: For today’s collectibles suggestions, I decided to go with an array of fun items, including pint glasses featuring two of my favorite slashers, a really unique keychain set that celebrates classic films like The Shining, Psycho and Motel Hell, and even something horror-fied for all the Hello Kitty fans out there.

First up are these two great sets of Nightmare on Elm Street Pint Glasses which seem perfect for any beverage, alcoholic or otherwise and they’re only 10 bucks a set. The black with red set is pretty sweet but the clear glasses are super awesome too. Either way- you can’t go wrong. Buy the Clear Nightmare on Elm Street Pint Glass Set HERE or buy the black & red set right HERE.

I definitely can’t forget about all you Jason Voorhees fans, so I checked if there happened to be two different sets of Friday the 13th Pint Glasses and sure enough there were. You can buy the clear set HERE or the Red & Black set HERE.

The next thing I found was this really cool retro keychain set that pays homage to the likes of The Shining, Psycho and one of my favorite cult classics, Motel Hell. I am a sucker for horror keychains and I just thought this set was really unique that would be perfect for ANY classic horror fan. You can find the Keychain Set HERE.

Lastly, we have the Hello Kitty Horror Set. Generally packaged as a “Mystery Item,” these are really fun to mix it up for anyone you know who happens to like horror and Hello Kitty (hey, it happens!). They’re a pretty popular item so they’re not easy to find but I did track some down on Amazon right HERE.
