A few months ago, one of the topics discussed on a "Horrigins" episode of Corpse Club was that there are a lot of amazing short films out there, but it can be hard for fans to keep up with all of the content that gets released over time. With that in mind, this writer thought it would be fun to turn the spotlight onto the short format horrors on the internet once a month with our new column series, Daily Dead Salutes Your Shorts.

For our second installment, we have quite the variety of shorts for your enjoyment, including Your Date is Here from Todd Spence and Zak White, the perfect tribute to everyone’s favorite cuddly creatures in Gremlins: Recall, the award-winning short Dawn of the Deaf, and Zena S. Dixon’s Night of the Witch.

Your Date is Here (Directed by Todd Spence & Zak White): After dusting off an old Mystery Date-style board game, a mother and daughter realize the game holds more evil than amusement.

---------

Gremlins: Recall (Directed by Ryan Patrick): A company by the name of Wing has created Mogwais that can be adopted as family pets with no ill consequences -- or so they thought. Tiny terror is unleashed at a local diner when a teenage girl interferes with a Wing driver's live cargo.

---------

Dawn of the Deaf (Directed by Rob Savage): When a strange sound wipes out the hearing population, a small group of Deaf people must band together to survive.

---------

Night of the Witch (Directed by Zena S. Dixon): A soldier fights something he was never trained for.

Available to watch for free on Amazon Video.
