It was recently confirmed that Anchor Bay was working on a Halloween 35th Anniversary Blu-ray edition and fans will be happy to hear that the movie's cinematographer is supervising the transfer:

"Trancas International Films, Compass International Pictures, and Halloweenmovies.com are proud to announce award winning cinematographer Dean Cundey is supervising the new high definition transfer of John Carpenter’s Halloween for the upcoming 35th Anniversary Blu-ray!"

Previously, it was revealed that John Carpenter was working with Jamie Lee Curtis on a brand new commentary track for the movie. Anchor Bay is still finalizing release details, so we don't have a full list of bonus features or a release date at this time.

As part of the 35th anniversary celebration, it has also been announced that an official Halloween convention is also happening this year. The event will take place on November 15-17 in Pasadena, California and details will be announced soon at:
