Eva Green Joins Dark Shadows

It has been announced that Casino Royale's Eva Green has joined the cast of Tim Burton's Dark Shadows feature film. Based off of the 60's horror soap opera, Eva Green will be playing the character Angelique, "a powerful witch who was alternately tormented and bewitched by her love-hate relationship with Barnabas Collins."

Johnny Depp has already signed on to play Barnabas, and Jackie Earle Haley is currently in negotiations to star in the film as well. I've caught numerous reruns of Dark Shadows in the past, but never watched close to the 1,200+ episodes that were produced. With all of the story lines the show had, I'm wondering if they are setting this up as a franchise film. We'll start to hear more abut story plans after the cast fill out.
