About “Vampire: The Masquerade - Blood Feud ” and “Mega Board Games® ” as an all new category of game:

"Blood Feud” is a Mega Board Game which is currently in development and is the passion project of game designer Ben Kanelos and publisher Everything Epic. The game originated from the designer’s love of Mega Games and vampires. With this came a strong desire for a method to play Mega Games within his own game groups and in a more manageable amount of time.

A traditional “megagame” is a type of large-scale simulation which can contain elements of role-playing games, tabletop games, LARPs and wargames. Most MegaGames are giant event-like experiences with sometimes over 100 players that take nearly an entire day to play. Usually they are run by a team of game masters, usually with a ticket price for entry.

Everything Epic and game designer Ben Kanelos are both excited to bring MegaGames to the Board Game market by creating the first Mega Board Game ever! “Blood Feud” is a game that captures the epic experience of large-scale MegaGames in a more streamlined and manageable Board-Game like fashion - taking the best of war, diplomacy, resource management, and commanding your faction in the best vampire universe known, Vampire: The Masquerade.

Blood Feud, a Mega Board Game is a highly thematic, team-based, strategic game that plays 4-32 players and is run by 1-2 storytellers who also interact and play in the Mega Board Game . The players may play as one of the warring vampire clans such as Ventrue, Tremere, Gangrel, Toreador or perhaps you’ll choose to become one of the human factions fighting for their own desires, such as City Hall, the Mafia, or the Arcanum, with many more to choose from. Additionally, we’ve integrated the story world of Vampire: The Masquerade by adding storyteller scenarios that add an optional narrative approach to the game. Players also will gain disciplines, which give them powerful supernatural abilities unique to their character. Lastly, teams will choose their ambitions, which allow for multiple paths to victory, such as being bloodthirsty, manipulative, greedy, or somewhere in between.

A Mega Board Game is unlike a traditional board game because it is not played at a single table. Blood Feud uses a large room or two separate rooms with 2-4 tables. One game table features the Cityscape and Orders, the map where players move their forces around the city and order them to fight and take control of important territories. The other game table features the Council and Market where players use their best diplomatic and resource management skills to make sly trades, buy upgrades and player level-ups, as well as make large political decisions that will shape the destinies of teams to determine whether they win or lose! In order to win the game, teams earn victory points through the completion of legacies, which are secret objectives that can consist of all sorts of tasks and achievements earned through gameplay.

Blood Feud a Mega Board Game will be coming to Kickstarter in June of 2019, with a planned Fall 2019 consumer and retail release!
