We recently reported on a new character that was joining The Walking Dead Season 3 and we now have the first footage of this fan-favorite comic book character from an international promo video. *Spoiler Warning: Do not continue reading if you want to avoid TV/comic book spoilers*

Since the TV show was first announced, fans of the comic book series have been excited at the possibility of seeing Tyreese. He appears before the events of the prison in the comics, so we were a bit worried that his character would be removed or replaced. Thankfully, world of The Walking Dead TV series is almost like an alternate timeline where Shane's prolonged survival changed the course of events. Instead of meeting up before the prison, Tyreese and his group seem to have found the prison on their own.

If you missed the recent news, Chad Coleman from The Wire is playing Tyreese, but we don't have confirmation on who is with him in the video. In the comic book series, Tyreese is traveling with his daughter (Julie) and her boyfriend (Chris). We're assuming those are two of the survivors he's with.

We haven't seen the mid-season finale yet and we're really curious to find out what happens when these two groups meet for the first time. Interested in learning more about the upcoming episode?
