It was recently revealed that Eli Roth was starring in Aftershock, a project he's been working on since 2010. Directed by Nicolas Lopez and produced by Eli Roth, the movie revolves around survivors in the aftermath of an earthquake. The film stars Eli Roth, Ariel Levy, Nicolás Martínez, Lorenza Izzo, Selena Gomez, Andrea Osvart and Natasha Yarovenko.

We reported earlier that a number of companies had grabbed up foreign distribution rights for the film. At that time it was noted that this may not be a typical disaster film: “I’ve heard from potential buyers that the plot revolves around an insane asylum on an island, where the inmates escape during the quake.”
