Fox Searchlight has announced the release date for Hitchcock, starring Anthony Hopkins as the famous director/producer. Looking to get the film screened during Oscar season, Hitchcock will be released on November 23rd, 2012. It's too early to know the exact theatrical rollout details, but we expect a limited theatrical release that will expand based on critic response and ticket sales.
The film is based on Stephen Rebello's book, Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, and was directed by Sacha Gervasi. Hitchcock stars Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, James D'Arcy, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, Toni Collette, Michael Wincott, Kurtwood Smith, Richard Portnow, and Danny Huston.
