It’s hard for me to believe that another Flashback Weekend is nearly upon us, but in just a few short days, genre fans will descend upon the Crown Plaza Chicago O’Hare (5440 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL) for three days of horror-filled shenanigans. Beginning Friday, August 4th and running through Sunday, August 6th, Flashback is pulling out all the stops for their 15th anniversary, with their massive Nightmare on Elm Street reunion bringing together casts from nearly all of the films, including the legendary Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, Lisa Wilcox, Amanda Wyss, Ronee Blakley, Joann Willette, Brooke Bundy, Tuesday Knight, Danny Hassel, Toy Newkirk, Kelly Jo Minter, Brooke Theiss, Andras Jones, Ricky Dean Logan, Katharine Isabelle, Ken Kirzinger, Paula Shaw, and Jesse Hutch.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Flashback 2017 will also feature a multitude of other notable guests, including Lance Henriksen, Ken Foree, Nancy Loomis, William Forsythe, Felissa Rose, Victoria Price, Curtis Armstrong, Lew Temple, Cerina Vincent, iconic horror host Svengoolie, and both Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocca of The Boondock Saints fame.
Beyond its stellar lineup of talent, Flashback Weekend will also be hosting two fun screening events for fans, with the 4K version of Suspiria playing on Friday, August 4th at the AMC Rosemont 18 (formerly the Muvico), and on the night of August 5th, attendees can experience A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master at the Crowne Plaza for Flashback’s annual outdoor screening event. There will be additional movies playing during Saturday in the Crowne Plaza’s Midway room, and for those of you looking to do a little shopping or grab some autographs, the dealer room will be open all three days.

Heather A. Wixson was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, until she followed her dreams and moved to Los Angeles in 2009. A 14-year veteran in the world of horror entertainment journalism, Wixson fell in love with genre films at a very early age, and has spent more than a decade as a writer and supporter of preserving the history of horror and science fiction cinema. Throughout her career, Wixson has contributed to several notable websites, including Fangoria, Dread Central, Terror Tube, and FEARnet, and she currently serves as the Managing Editor for Daily Dead, which has been her home since 2013.
