It looks like we'll be getting a theatrical re-release of Ghostbusters this October. According to a post on the official Ghostbusters Facebook page:

"Alright, Ghostbusters fans. It’s time to get your cats and dogs together and prepare for mass hysteria: This October, for the first time in over 25 years, the original and unforgettable Ghostbusters makes its triumphant return to theaters!"

Unfortunately, we have no additional details at this time. It has been suggested that this release will be used to gauge interest in Ghostbusters 3, but we don't know if plans are for a limited "one night only" showing or a wide theatrical release. We'll provide an update as soon as we have additional release information.
