The Walking Dead's Greg Nicotero and the talented team at KNB EFX were responsible for all of the walker transformations at The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego in 2012 and 2013. Now, it has been announced that they'll return to oversee walker transformations at multiple stops on The Walking Dead Escape tour, including the Atlanta event at the end of this month.

Initially, the 2014 tour included eight locations, but after the success of The Walking Dead Escape in Texas and Florida earlier this year, additional events are in the works. We've been told that Greg Nicotero and KNB EFX will be involved starting with the Atlanta event and here's a list of upcoming stops planned as part of The Walking Dead Escape tour:

  • ATLANTA, GA – May 31st at Philips Arena
  • SAN DIEGO, CA – July 25th and 26th at Petco Park surrounding Comic Con 2014
  • HARTFORD, CT – Saturday, June 7th, 2014 – XL Center
  • MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Saturday, June 21st, 2014 – Target Center
  • MIAMI, FL – Saturday, October 25th – Sun Life Stadium
  • TAMPA, FL – TBA – The Sun Dome
  • JACKSONVILLE, FL – TBA – EverBank Field
  • NEW ORLEANS, LA – TBA – Mercedes-Benz Superdome

For those unfamiliar with The Walking Dead Escape, it is the official zombie obstacle course of The Walking Dead. As a survivor, you must avoid being touched by walkers and will need to climb, crawl, hide, and slide your way to the evacuation zone. Or you have the option to join the ranks of the living dead and infect survivors trying to make it through the course as infection-free.

We've been giving away tickets to select events and look for our live coverage when The Walking Dead Escape returns to San Diego during Comic-Con 2014. For more information on The Walking Dead Escape, visit:
