Warner Bros. must be confident in Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim, because they just gave the monster movie a big summer 2013 release date. While previously scheduled for May 10th, 2013, Warner Bros. has officially set a new date of July 12th, 2013. The only other movie scheduled for that weekend at this time is Grown Ups 2.
Pacific Rim started shooting late last year and stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman and Charlie Day: “Set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth, the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace."
