If you fell in love with the world beneath our own while watching Guillermo Del Toro’s Trollhunters this winter, then you'll be pleased to know that Jim's adventures are only beginning, as the series has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.
Comprised of 13 episodes, Trollhunters Season 2 will be released on Netflix sometime this year. In the meantime, we have the official details and a teaser image for season 2:
"Guillermo Del Toro’s Trollhunters confirmed for a second season! DreamWorks Animation and Netflix announced today that a second season of 13 episodes will debut later this year. Jim ventures deeper into the Troll world to battle the vicious leader of the Darklands, while his team works to maintain order in the human world."
Executive produced by del Toro (and based on the novel of the same name that he co-wrote with Daniel Kraus, Trollhunters featured the voice cast of Kelsey Grammer, Ron Perlman, Steven Yeun, and Anton Yelchin in its first season.
