The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D begins filming this month and is finalizing its cast list. According to Bloody Disgusting, Gunnar Hansen, the man who first played Leatherface, will be returning for a role in the new film. Unfortunately, he won't be playing the role of Leatherface, but he will be featured in some kind of cameo role.
Between this casting news and the possibility of Bill Moseley joining the cast, it looks like the producers of the new film are definitely trying to win over fans of the original films. Scott Eastwood, Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, and Sue Rock are currently confirmed cast members, with more to come. John Luessenhop is directing and the film will be released on October 5th, 2012.
