As a company focused on producing artwork that celebrates British and European pop culture, the Hammer Horror movies were a series we have been itching to work on since we launched Vice Press. It is an honour to produce a piece that celebrates one of cinema¹s most iconic characters as portrayed by one of the most legendary actors of cinema, the late Sir Christopher Lee. When it came to choosing an artist to work on the project, there was no doubt that Francesco Francavilla was the artist we wanted. Francesco¹s art perfectly matches the character and subject and captures the spirit of the classic 60s illustrated movie posters.

"I grew up with horror movies and even before I was watching Argento & Italian horror, I was binging on the classic Universal Monsters movies and the 60s/70s bloody colorful Hammer movies. Karloff, Lugosi, Lee, Cushing, were all childhood friends of mine so needless to say I was ecstatic when Vice Press asked me to do a Hammer Dracula poster - been wanting to do that for ages. Hope all the love I have for Hammer and Christopher Lee shows."

The Adventures of Drunky Indiegogo Campaign Details: Press Release: "BROOKLYN, NY (April 29, 2016) - Augenblick Studios, the animation studio behind classic gory cartoons Superjail, Ugly Americans, and Wonder Showzen, is turning to Indiegogo to raise funds for the production of THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY (drunkymovie.com/igg), a new R-rated animated feature film with hellish undertones.
“Horror is my favorite genre. It gives me pure happiness”, says Aaron Augenblick, the film’s director and founder of Augenblick Studios. “I watch way more slasher movies than cartoons! That’s why I was so psyched to put a ton of horror and ultraviolence into The Adventures of Drunky."
With nearly half of the film set in Hell, Augenblick drew inspiration from filmmaker Clive Barker and painter Hieronymus Bosch to create his version of the Underworld.
“There’s only so much you can get away with on TV, and I’ve been fortunate enough to really push those boundaries,” says Augenblick. “But with an independent film, anything and everything is on the table. It’s a thrill for me to flex my horror muscles.
”THE ADVENTURES OF DRUNKY follows a barfly named Drunky (Sam Rockwell), who finds himself in the middle of a cosmic bet between God (Jeffrey Tambor) and the Devil (Steve Coogan) over the fate of the Earth. With his life destroyed, Drunky must rescue the girl he loves (Nina Arianda) and traverse the horrific landscapes of Hell to save the world. Assisting Drunky on his quest is an alley cat (Tyler The Creator) and a sherpa demon (Dave Attell).
The supporting cast includes Noel Wells, Abby Elliot, John Leguizamo, Jon Glaser, Jay Pharoah, James Adomian, Larry Murphy, Rachel Butera, and Randy Pearlstein.
In exchange for funding this Indiegogo campaign, there are a number of horror-themed perks for backers: Dave Attell will curse you (or your enemy); Steve Coogan will provide a handwritten list of his favorite devil films, or animators will draw you into the movie as a demon. Campaign donors who pledge $666,666 will be awarded eternal damnation. The Indiegogo campaign runs for 30 days from April 26th–May 26th.
The film is directed by Aaron Augenblick. Producers include Lisa Thomas and Kris Wollinger of Augenblick Studios, along with James Belfer and Daniel Shepard of Cartuna. Peter Lengyel and Adam Belfer are executive producers. The script was written by Aaron Augenblick and Aaron Bergeron. The campaign video features original animation by Augenblick Studios with voiceover by Jeffrey Tambor and Tyler the Creator."
