Nightmare Soup Kickstarter Details: From Kickstarter: "A new collection of short horror stories and frightful illustrations for both kids and adults.
Nightmare Soup is a collection of 30 short horror stories meant to terrify both kids and adults.
Each story is accompanied by a ghastly illustration from the mind of Andy Sciazko... the kind of illustrations that will disturb you in the best way possible. Here's a quick preview...
"Noodles" - A young boy on vacation in a far off country decides to try a local "delicacy." While extremely delicious... this dish isn't what it seems to be.
"Teeth" - Kids can be sensitive sometimes, so when Sarah heard she was being made fun of because of her teeth, she decided to reveal a little secret she had been keeping.
"Full Moon Guests" - Carrie and John are vacationing in the mountains until some unwelcome guests decide to show up. But these "guests" are in for a surprise they didn't count on.
"Blard's Burgers"- The newest burger joint in town has quickly made a name for itself, cooking up the most delicious burgers you could ever eat. But there's a special ingredient they don't want you to know about...
We wanted to create a horror book that everyone could enjoy, so Nightmare Soup is free of major adult themes and extreme gore... but as you can see from the illustrations, you don't need adult themes and gore to create something truly creepy.
Our illustrator Andy Sciazko has been working in the horror genre ever since he first picked up a pencil, and has a special ability to make even the most normal objects look terrifying. The style and creativity of his images, combined with the storytelling of writer Jake Tri, are truly the stuff nightmares are made of.
We're extremely excited about how this project has progressed, and we can't wait to share the final product with everyone, but we need your help! Support our Kickstarter and in exchange, we'll send you our awesomely horrifying book.
Happy nightmares everyone!
Jake and Andy.”
