As we mentioned yesterday, we had so many indie items this week that we split the feature into two parts. Today's feature includes a headless biker, a killer dummy, a zombie killing gorilla, and more:

Rex, Zombie Killer: Back in March, we told you about the upcoming release of the comic book Rex, Zombie Killer #1. The first issue has just been released:

"In the wake of a zombie apocalypse, a hyper-intelligent Golden Retriever named Rex, a sign language-speaking gorilla, and a small pack of animals begin a perilous cross-country journey to find safety…and a home."

The comic is a double-sized 56-page one-shot that can be ordered from your local comic book shop. Additional one-shots are planned for the future. For more information, visit: http://www.rexzombiekiller.com

The Circle: Cemetery Dance Publications has announced an October release for Bentley Little's The Circle. The story involves many strange occurrences that unsettle the inhabitants of William Tell Circle:

"For Helen, a knock on the door brings an unexpected visitor along with lavish gifts, and it seems all her wishes have been granted…but at what cost? For young Frank and his friends, a fabled neighborhood shrine may answer their prayers for a girlfriend, just as their older brothers hope the same source will grant them money. But the older boys' improvised ritual turns into something horrible…

For Gil Marotta, a rescue mission to the shrine leads him into a chilling confrontation with the local witch…"

For centuries, two extraterrestrial races, the Eridaneans and the Capelleans, have fought a secret and bloodthirsty war for Earth’s mastery. Last Rites: a Lucy Hart, Rites Novel: "What if you discover your fiancé is a werewolf, and worse, his creature-of-the-night girlfriend is trying to kill you?

Lucy Hart, eighteen-year-old queen bee and captain of the cheer squad, faces just that. She loses everything—money, social status, and even her home—when her father is arrested for tax evasion and immigrant slave trafficking. Reduced to flipping burgers, she plots to get her old life back, blackmailing her father’s slime ball lawyer, and scheming her way into a gig pretending to be a rich young man’s “fiancée.” The pay: enough money to let her write her own future. The bad news: the guy is a condescending pain in the butt.

In no time at all Lucy finds herself fighting for her life as her faux fiancé’s vampire girlfriend tries to slaughter her, and on top of that, getting royally grossed out by her own spanking new paranormal ability: necromancy. Yet somehow, while she gets back her life and kicks vampire butt, she also manages to fall in love/lust with her fake fiancé."
