During our recent coverage of All Hallows' Eve, director Damien Leone teased his next film. Here are new details on Frankenstein Vs. The Mummy, which will begin filming at the end of this year:

"With two Halloween films being released this week (All Hallows’ Eve and Mischief Night) Jesse Baget’s Ruthless Pictures is gearing up to exhume two of horror’s most classic creatures in the feature film Frankenstein Vs. The Mummy, scheduled to begin filming at the end of 2013.

Damien Leone, whose first feature film, All Hallows’ Eve, is being released Tuesday October 29th on DVD and VOD and is garnering great reviews, will write and direct the film.

The story revolves around the mummy of a cursed pharaoh and a reanimated corpse that terrorize a medical university. Only an Egyptologist and a college professor, the deranged Dr. Frankenstein, may be able to stop the creatures before it's too late.

"These are two of the most iconic characters in horror history,” Leone says, “and I don't believe in shortchanging fans or making a mockery of the subject matter. I've approached the material in a serious manner and I intend to make a very dark and graphic film. The story will primarily follow Dr. Frankenstein and his creation but the cursed pharaoh will ultimately work his way into their lives resulting in one of the most epic horror showdowns ever."

Baget had this to say of the project, “I’m excited to be working with Damien again, I was thrilled with his work on All Hallows’ Eve, and I’m positive his take on Frankenstein and the Mummy is going to be quite unique… and completely disturbing!”

Ruthless Pictures is currently in production on the horror/adventure Day of the Mummy directed by Johnny Tabor.

Ruthless Pictures was founded in 2012 to showcase the work of an exciting new breed of young genre directors."
