If you enjoyed Insidious as much as we did, you'll be happy to learn that James Wan may be taking on another ghost story. According to Variety, Wan is in final negotiations to direct The Conjuring for New Line.

"Carey and Chad Hayes wrote the pitch that was inspired by the supernatural events that happened in the Rhode Island home of the Perron family."

After the success of Insidious, James Wan has been attached to a number of projects. He has a production deal in place with Icon Entertainment, in which he'll produce 8 genre films over the next 4 years (the first of them being House of Horror). He was also looking to direct a film called Spectre, starring Nicole Kidman for IM Global.

We have no information on the status of Spectre, but we'll provide an update as soon as we receive an update on either of these projects.
