Although there were reports earlier today about interest in Christian Bale for the lead in The Dark Tower, those reports were either slightly outdated, false, or a backup plan, as Deadline is reporting that Javier Bardem has officially been made an offer for the lead role.
Keep in mind that just because the offer is out doesn't necessarily mean the offer will be accepted or that the film will go into production. For now, fans of the series will just need to stay cautiously optimistic, but this is good news in my book.
