As Daily Dead launches its new Twitch channel, I’ve decided that a great way to celebrate Hellraiser’s upcoming 35th anniversary would be to put myself through a little sweet suffering and watch every single film in the series. I know this seems ill-advised, but I’m just enough of a masochist to give it a go, so I’ll be hosting a Watch Party over two weekends this September and you’re invited to join in!
And I’m not going through this torment for no reason as I’m looking to raise funds for two very important organizations.
The first, Trans Empowerment Project, is “moving the Trans community out of crisis and into empowerment by focusing on the abolition of white supremacy to ensure that our most marginalized community members, Disabled Queer and Trans People of Color, can thrive and live their best lives.”
The second, Sister Song, seeks to “build an effective network of individuals and organizations to improve institutional policies and systems that impact the reproductive lives of marginalized communities.”
These are fantastic organizations and given everything going on right now I think it’s important we can do everything in our power to support them. And I’m also not diving into the bonkers adventure alone! I’ve recruited some friends to make sure I don’t completely lose my mind. We’ll be chatting all things Hellraiser, answering your questions, and may even have a few giveaways and other incentives for those who donate during the stream.

Horror movies have been a part of Bryan’s life as far back as he can remember. While families were watching E.T. and going to Disneyland, Bryan and his mom were watching Nightmare on Elm Street and he was dragging his dad to go to the local haunted hayride.
He loves everything about the horror community, particularly his fellow fans. He’s just as happy listening to someone talk about their favorite horror flick as he is watching his own, which include Hellraiser, Phantasm, Stir of Echoes, and just about every Friday the 13th movie ever made, which the exception of part VIII because that movie is terrible.
