Happy Pride to all my fellow queers out there in the horrorverse! Join us for a Twitch celebration on Friday, June 16th at 7pm EST as we celebrate by getting some friends together, catching a great double feature, and raising some money for a good cause!

Those who remember last year’s Hellraiser-raiser may recall we raised $1,150 for the Trans Empowerment Project, an organization devoted to “moving the Trans community out of crisis and into empowerment by focusing on the abolition of white supremacy to ensure that our most marginalized community members, Disabled Queer and Trans People of Color, can thrive and live their best lives.”

For Pride month I’d like to see if we can do even better! We are setting a goal of $1,500, and I’m confident that we’ll be able to reach it. And of course, I won’t be going it alone!

Starting at 7pm, tune in as we watch the 2022 Hellraiser remake (streaming on Hulu) along with Joe Lipsett, co-host of Horror Queers and a bajillion other podcasts (including our little show about all things in and around the Hellraiser universe).

Then, at 9pm we’ll be watching the bonkers 2018 backwoods punk rock slasher The Ranger (streaming on Shudder) with the film’s director Jenn Wexler and Salem Horror Fest founder Kay Lynch!

This promises to be a fun night to help out an amazing cause, and if you were at our last fundraiser you’ll know I’m not beyond torturing myself for more donations.

If you’re not already following us on Twitch you can do so at DailyDeadTwitch, and if you want to donate before the event you can do so at our dedicated donation page

Contribute if you can, but either way we hope to see you on June 16th!

About the Author - Bryan Christopher

Horror movies have been a part of Bryan’s life as far back as he can remember. While families were watching E.T. and going to Disneyland, Bryan and his mom were watching Nightmare on Elm Street and he was dragging his dad to go to the local haunted hayride.

He loves everything about the horror community, particularly his fellow fans. He’s just as happy listening to someone talk about their favorite horror flick as he is watching his own, which include Hellraiser, Phantasm, Stir of Echoes, and just about every Friday the 13th movie ever made, which the exception of part VIII because that movie is terrible.
