Both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Chris Meloni have joined the cast of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. They'll be part of the ensemble cast that already includes Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and Rosario Dawson. Dennis Haysbert was also recently cast in the movie as Manute, the role previously held by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the first film.

Specific character details have not yet been released, but Deadline reports that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be playing a main character named Johnny, while Chris Meloni (Law and Order, True Blood, Oz) will be playing a cop in the film. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are co-directing once again, from a script co-written by William Monahan.

Filming has already been taking place, but due to the way the stories are broken up, it's been easier for Rodriguez and Miller to work around the schedules of the actors they are looking to cast. More casting news is expected soon and we'll report back as soon as we hear anything. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released on October 4th.
