Ever since Heather Wixson's 4-star review of Bloodline, we've been excited for Daily Dead readers to see the new Blumhouse horror thriller starring Seann William Scott, and ahead of the movie's South Florida premiere at Popcorn Frights Film Festival, Momentum Pictures has acquired North American rights to the film, with a theatrical, Digital, and On Demand release planned for September 20th.

Press Release: LOS ANGELES– August 1, 2019 - Momentum Pictures announced today that it has acquired North American rights to Blumhouse’s latest horror / thriller BLOODLINE from director Henry Jacobson (“Election Day: Lens Across America”). Jacobson co-wrote the screenplay with Avra Fox-Lerner (Nora) and Will Honley (The Hive), who also wrote the story. The film stars Seann William Scott (American Pie), Mariela Garriga (“NCIS: Los Angeles”), Dale Dickey (Iron Man 3) and Kevin Carroll (“The Leftovers”). BLOODLINE will be released in theaters and On Digital and On Demand on September 20, 2019.

In BLOODLINE, Evan (Seann William Scott) values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

BLOODLINE is a visceral, stylized, elevated horror film that we cannot wait to sink our teeth into. Seann Williams Scott delivers a stellar performance - his magnetic presence shows his versatility as an actor,” said Ian Goggins, Momentum Pictures’ senior vice president of content. “Henry and the entire filmmaking team created something very special that we can’t wait to share.”

“I am so proud to be a part of this film with such an exceptional cast and crew,” said Seann William Scott. “BLOODLINE is such a departure from my previous roles. It was so great to work on a character with so many dimensions, challenging me as an actor to do something I have never done before in terms of tone.”

"I am so grateful to Jason, Couper and rest of the team at Blumhouse for the incredible opportunity they gave me to direct my first narrative feature, and so lucky to have gotten to make it with Seann in the lead and such a talented cast and crew. Making BLOODLINE was an incredible experience for all of us, and I am thrilled to partner with Momentum to bring it to audiences," said the film’s director Henry Jacobson.

"BLOODLINE is the kind of provocative, twisty, domestic thriller that we at Blumhouse grew up loving. We are thrilled to introduce audiences not just to an emerging filmmaker like Henry, but also to a new side of Seann William Scott," said Couper Samuelson, president, Blumhouse Productions

BLOODLINE was produced by Jason Blum (Get Out), Adam Hendricks (Cam), of Divide/Conquer, John Lang (Lucky) and Greg Gilreath (The Wind) of Divide/Conquer. It was executive produced Jennifer Dong (Running Man), Figo Li (Mojin – The Lost Legend), Couper Samuelson (Halloween), Emma Tammi (The Wind) and Zac Locke (Mercy Black) of Divide/Conquer.

Jacobson, Fox-Lerner and Tammi are represented by ICM Partners. William Scott is represented by UTA.

Dylan Wilcox, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for Momentum Pictures for Entertainment One negotiated the deal with ICM Partners on behalf of the filmmakers.
