Even when they were trying to kill humans who would usually eat them, the gingerbread men in Michael Dougherty's Krampus still looked delicious on screen, so it's a special seasonal treat that a new episode of Kaci Hansen's Homicidal Homemaker cooking show features a recipe based on the mischievous minions from the 2015 holiday horror film.

From The Homicidal Homemaker"Gingerbread cookies always make an appearance on my holiday cookie platters. But after making ginger-dead men several years in a row, I wanted to try something a little different. So this year, I’m making the killer gingerbread men from Krampus.

You can absolutely use storebought dough to make these, but I’m sharing my coveted recipe for my favorite gingerbread dough. The cookies are crisp on the edges, while remaining slightly soft and chewy on the inside.

To make these look similar to the cookies in the film, I made my own DIY cookie cutter out of heavy-duty foil, but standard cookie cutters will work just fine.

Head over to TheHomicidalHomemaker.com for this full recipe, and to learn how to make your own cookie cutters. And as always, be sure to watch the full episode for fun vignettes before and after the recipe!
